Light, fast, easy, beautiful... long battery life      Posted by: Miamientrepreneur on 12/12/201
  • What's not to like? You just shut the lid and walk away... it goes to sleep and comes back to life immediately with no battery loss, even a day later. Batteries will last all day without having to be plugged in.
  • Of course it's a Mac, and very easy to use, fast, etc.
  • The touchscreen works more like an iPad and takes a while to get used to.
  • It's super light too.
Great Performance but No Upgrade Path      Posted by: TheCrazyLudwig on 10/27/2010

  •  The refresh to the Macbook Air line was a great one. They increased the screen resolutions for both the 11.6'' and the 13'' and also numerous other changes. The inclusion (by default) of a SSD Hard Drive is a welcomed change but it is on board so you cannot currently upgrade later on (at least in this revision).

The good: Strong battery life; improved Nvidia graphics.
The bad: Still uses a Core 2 Duo processor; no new ports added; expensive compared with Core i3 laptops.
The bottom line: The new 13-inch MacBook Pro uses a faster version of last year's processor, but a graphics chip upgrade and better battery life give it more value for the same price.

Simply the best! Posted by: Mac4Life on 12/03/2010
  • If you are tired of viruses and slow pc's, then you will love a mac. This is the best thing I have ever bought in my entire life. You will not be unsatisfied with this product. I have been using pc's my whole life and I thought my Dell XPS was fast...If could not keep up with this mac if it was using ethernet and mac was using wireless. Best computer ever!
Apple never disappoints      Posted By:

  • I have had many Apple products over the years, but this is my first MacBook. It does everything I wanted it to, and much more. If you're in need of a computer that goes above and beyond in media (photo, video, music, etc) this is the computer for you. I'm sold for life on Macs.

The good: Sleek unibody design; LED display; big multitouch trackpad; long battery life.
The bad: Loses FireWire; nonremovable battery.
The bottom line: Apple's latest version of the popular $999 white MacBook gets an upscale makeover, while keeping the price the same. It's a strong alternative to the more expensive Pro line, if you can live without extras such as an SD card slot.

The good: Amazingly slim design; great keyboard/trackpad combo; new iLife '13 software included; decent graphics performance; 16:9 display.
The bad: Pricey for an 13-inch laptop with an older processor; lacks backlit keyboard and SD card slot.
The bottom line: Apple makes the MacBook Air both smaller and less expensive, creating an excellent ultraportable, but leaving out a few features along the way.

What did I learn about the process of researching while researching my product?
I have learned a lot while researching for my products. I have learned that it's not an easy task having to look for the specific product that you want. I also, have learned that there are a lot of websites that will give you feedback on products that you are looking for. Lastly, I have learned that researching is the best choice when looking for a product whether its a gift for someone or something for yourself. You can also, look at reviews on the websites and see what products you like the best. This project has not only helped me with my techniques with researching, but it has helped me and has given me a better idea so that I make a better choice when purchasing a product.

Why and how did I choose the websites I used for my research?
The reason why I chose best buy as my website is because  it has a big range of costumer reviews. Also, best buy provided very detailed features and what was included in each product that I was researching about. Lastly, getting costumer reviews from the website of where they sell the product is the best choice when looking for accurate and precise reviews. I also, used the website cnet.com because that website not only included customer reviews, but it had professional reviews as well.

What's a website I could have used but did not and why did I not use it?
I could have used the official  apple/mac website. I chose not to choose this website for my research because it didn't have a lot of information about the product and also, didn't have any costumer reviews on the products that I chose.

What product would I choose?
The product out of the three that I would choose would be the Macbook Pro. The price is in between the Macbook Air and the Macbook. Also, it has all features SD slot, speakers, camera at a higher and better quality. Also, the Macbook is light, but not as thin as the Macbook Air and works better. The Macbook Air and the Macbook both had a big list of bad qualities. The Macbook Pro only had two things listed as a negative which is not that bad. This laptop has all of the features that i need; SD card slot, camera, cable plugs for cameras, and much more. The Macbook Pro is the laptop for me.
